Nexthink Doubles Down of the Growth of DEX Careers With Job Boards and the Second Annual Career Capital Report
BOSTON / LAUSANNE — August 31, 2022 – Nexthink, the leader in Digital Employee Experience (DEX) management, is doubling down on supporting digital workplace leaders who are answering the call for better digital employee experience by launching a series of new resources including its second annual career research, job boards and practical information about assembling a DEX team available on the DEX Hub.
Launched in June 2021, DEX Hub is a central repository for information, articles and advancement opportunities for EUC, digital workplace and IT disruptors looking to connect, learn and journey toward people-centric IT. Since its launch, the DEX Hub has celebrated milestones such as contributions from thought leaders across the IT industry and beyond, such as Adam Grant, Arianna Huffington, and Charles Araujo.
“Today we’re an experience economy and digital is the future. IT professionals now spend a quarter of their day on tasks directly relating to DEX,” said Yassine Zaied, Chief Strategy Officer at Nexthink. “We expect this to grow significantly, as the importance of DEX becomes increasingly apparent in a hybrid or remote work culture. As the demand explodes, IT leaders are clamoring for resources to help guide the creation of this emerging function and role.”
Forrester highlights this trend in its report, The Rise of the Digital Employee Experience Teams, noting, “Companies are increasingly focusing on improving digital employee experience (DEX). While most organizations have historically lacked centralized ownership over DEX, that’s starting to change. Firms like ABN AMRO, Citizens Bank, Deloitte, and Mondelēz International are hiring personnel to zero in on DEX improvement.”
As the importance of DEX in organizations rises, it’s increasingly critical that resources support individuals and organizations navigating DEX, which is why the DEX Hub now features new content aimed at supporting individuals and organizations, including:
- A guide and visual infographic on Assembling a “DEX Superteam”
- DEX Jobs Board
- DEX Role Salary Calculator
Geoff Wright, global solution owner for Mondelēz International, a Nexthink customer who was also featured in the Forrester report was quoted stating, “We’d better start giving people a great tech experience at work because, if we don’t, it’s not going to be long before they look somewhere else.”
Today, Nexthink also launched its second annual Career Capital Report which shows that DEX focused IT roles are not only growing, but top DEX positions continue to earn 50% more than their non-DEX related IT counterparts. 94% of the IT professionals agreed that the roles and responsibilities of their job has moved away from simply provisioning IT equipment and is now focused more on providing solutions which promote employee collaboration and productivity. Of IT professionals who have stepped into a DEX career over the past year, 38% did so through internal promotion, but there has been an uptick in external recruitment this year with 24% being recruited externally in comparison to 17% from 2021.
