Nexthink Announces General Availability of Nexthink V5
Nexthink V5 introduces a new modular platform for End-user IT Analytics
January 15, 2014 – Lausanne – Nexthink®, the unique provider of End-user IT Analytics, today announced the launch of Nexthink V5. Nexthink V5 introduces a new modular platform that allows customers and partners to select the modules they need and add additional modules as their needs grow. Nexthink V5 will be launched at the Analytics’14 event in Geneva with over 200 attendees.
Nexthink provides real-time visibility and analytics on the usage of the entire IT infrastructure and endpoints from the end-user perspective. All important end-user related events, for example changes in the IT infrastructure, application usage, bandwidth, error messages and crashes, as well as potential security risks and the performance of IT services are recorded and visualized from the end-user perspective.
Nexthink V5 adds over 70 new metrics to strengthen the IT analytics, and improve probable cause analysis. A new actionable dashboard seamlessly integrates real-time and historical data into a single view, scaling up to 250,000 endpoints. The release also includes a new natural language search capability that makes it even easier to find answers to questions. A new service view consolidates 20 investigations into a single view and provides smart analysis of IT services and issues in real-time.
Nexthink V5 modules include:
Web & Cloud: provides real-time web and cloud applications discovery, and a more comprehensive and complete view of how applications are mapped to web services.
Security: delivers end-user and endpoint security analytics to identify potential security threats in real-time and visibility to verify security compliance.
VDI Transformation: provides over 100 metrics to ensure the successful planning and execution of VDI transformation projects.
Integration Toolkit: provides a web services API used to easily integrate Nexthink with other systems and processes and to create custom analytics.
“And few areas of technology are as fundamental to customer interaction and the execution performance of the business as the devices and software in the hands of its employees,” writes David Johnson, Principal Analyst in a Forrester Research. report. “Yet instead of seeing workforce computing technology as a greenfield opportunity for competitive advantage, chances are your firm and your executive colleagues view it more as a cost and risk center. Changing this perception starts with describing precisely how your workforce computing investments and strategy are linked to the competitive strategy and goals of the business.”[1]
“We selected Nexthink V5 to deliver real-time IT analytics and provide the end-user perspective of our IT infrastructure and endpoints,” said Jürg Nadler, Head of IT Business Application at Eugster/Frismag AG. “As part of our ITSM initiatives, Nexthink’s analytics will help us to improve performance and increasing end-user satisfaction.”
“Nexthink V5 brings us closer to our vision of developing the leading platform for end-user IT analytics,” said Pedro Bados, CEO at Nexthink. “Leveraging ITOA, our customers can maximize operational efficiencies, reduce IT costs, and improve compliance and quality of IT services.”
Nexthink is hosting Analytics’14 in the Movenpick Hotel, Geneva from January 15-16th.
