Karen McLoughlin joins Nexthink Board of Directors
BOSTON / LAUSANNE — August 27, 2024 – Nexthink, the leader in Digital Employee Experience (DEX) management, today announces former Cognizant Technology Solutions Chief Financial Officer, Karen McLoughlin, has joined the company’s board of directors. McLoughlin is a highly experienced company director, having been a member of the Audit Committee and Chair of the Financial Investment Policy Committee of Best Buy since 2015. She serves as Chair of the Audit Committee and is also a member of both the Nominating and Governance Committee and the Compensation and Human Capital Committee at agilon health, which she joined in 2021. Moreover, in addition to being a dedicated Board Member, McLoughlin is also a Senior Advisor to McKinsey.

Between 2012 and 2020, McLoughlin was Chief Financial Officer at Cognizant Technology Solutions, where she oversaw the company’s global finance and accounting functions including controllership, financial planning and analysis, internal audit, investor relations, tax and treasury functions as well as corporate development, real estate, procurement and risk management. During her tenure as CFO, Cognizant’s revenue grew from around $6 billion to over $16 billion, while headcount more than doubled from 138,000 associates to 280,000.

Through her work internally at Cognizant with programs like Women Empowered and her current endeavours as a director for Best Buy and agilon health, McLoughlin helps organizations harness diversity to create change, make better decisions, and rethink business and operational approaches. She obtained her bachelor’s degree in economics from Wellesley College in 1986 and her MBA from Columbia University in 1988.
