Nexthink leads the way to a net-zero economy with Science-Based Targets validated
Ambitious near- and long-term targets set to drive climate action aligned with Paris Agreement
Boston/Lausanne - January 20, 2025 - Nexthink, the leader in Digital Employee Experience (DEX) management, today announces bold steps toward a net-zero economy by securing approval for both near- and long-term science-based emissions reduction targets with the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi). These targets are aligned with climate science and are aimed at achieving net-zero emissions by 2050.
The SBTi, a global body that develops standards, tools, and guidance for companies to set greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions reduction targets, has validated Nexthink’s commitment to cutting its emissions in line with the goals of the Paris Agreement. This confirmation reflects Nexthink’s strategic, science-based approach to achieving net-zero emissions.
Nexthink’s approved targets:
Near-term targets:
- Nexthink SA commits to reduce absolute scope 1 GHG emissions 42% by 2030 from a 2022 base year. Nexthink SA also commits to increase active annual sourcing of renewable electricity from 71.05% in 2022 to 100.00% by 2030.
- Nexthink SA further commits that 78% of its suppliers by emissions covering purchased goods and services and capital goods will have science-based targets by 2028.
Long-term target:
- Nexthink SA commits to reduce absolute scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions 90% by 2050 from a 2022 base year.
- Nexthink SA also commits to reduce absolute scope 3 GHG emissions 90% within the same timeframe.
“Our net-zero commitment is a clear reflection of both our ambition and our determination to help combat climate change,” said Pedro Bados, CEO and Co-founder of Nexthink. “By aligning our emissions reduction targets with the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), we are taking an intentional, science-driven approach to achieving these critical goals.”
Our strategy will prioritize the reduction of direct emissions, and all residual emissions will be neutralized in line with SBTi criteria before reaching net-zero. We will report annually and transparently on climate targets and the progress we are making towards achieving them.
