Nexthink poised for continued hyper-growth with senior sales and marketing leadership
Merten Slominsky joins as Executive Vice President Europe and Poul Nielsen joins as Chief Marketing Officer
October 18, 2012 – Lausanne – Nexthink®, the leading provider of real-time: monitoring and analytics for IT Infrastructure from the end-user perspective, announced today the appointments of Merten Slominsky as Executive Vice President Europe and Poul Neilsen as Chief Marketing Officer (CMO). Both executives bring more than 20 years of experience to their new roles, with a demonstrated ability to bring innovative technology to market, both through direct and leveraged partner models.
At Nexthink, Merten Slominsky is responsible for all direct and indirect sales and pre-sales teams in Europe. His mission is to build out Nexthink’s European presence, grow revenues across geographies and establish key partnerships with VARs and System Integrators.
Merten is a seasoned IT industry executive with more than 25 years international experience in enterprise sales, channel development, strategy and operations. Before joining Nexthink, Merten was Senior VP EMEA at Thunderhead, an IBM partner. Previously, he managed the ECM Division at IBM in North East Europe following the acquisition of FileNet Corporation, where Merten served as the VP Central and Eastern Europe. Prior to FileNet, Merten was the Managing Director and worldwide VP for Platform Computing. Other milestones in his career include EMEA leadership positions with JetForm, Symantec, Delrina Technologies and Deutsch-Atlantische Telegraphen-AG.
As Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), Poul Nielsen has responsibility for corporate, partner and field marketing worldwide. His mission is to cultivate and communicate Nexthink’s brand equity and to lead marketing operations in support of the company’s goals. Poul works closely with product marketing to align strategy and with sales for lead generation activities.
Poul has over 20 years of executive management experience at TriActive, Altiris, Computing Edge, Computer Associates, and Digital with strong background in routes-to-market strategy for hyper-growth. During his time at Altiris, Poul served as VP of Product Strategy and Marketing and developed the concept of IT Lifecycle Management for PCs. From 2000 to 2005, Altiris grew revenues from $8M to over $250M with leading partners HP, Dell, IBM and Microsoft.
