We Believe that Nexthink is the #1 Vendor in DEX. Whichever Way You Look at It.
This headline is maybe a little surprising, even for Nexthinkers. We’re known for being conservative and letting our work do the talking. At Nexthink, we first created the DEX category, then rolled out the world’s most capable and holistic DEX platform, and then delivered year on year as the most successful DEX vendor in the market. Something to do with our Swiss heritage perhaps – an emphasis on diligence and execution, rather than on singing our own praises.
But today we believe a little singing is justified, as Nexthink has just come out the top ranked vendor in Gartner’s latest DEX Management tools research.
We were honoured to have been named a leader in the recent Gartner® Magic Quadrant™ for DEX Management Tools – where we ranked highest in ‘Ability to Execute’ and furthest in ‘Completeness of Vision’.
Now Gartner have released the Critical Capabilities report for DEX Management Tools, a companion research study to the Magic Quadrant. The Critical Capabilities research differs from the Magic Quadrant by focusing less on overall vendor positioning in the DEX tools market and instead emphasizing how each tool aligns with and supports the most critical capabilities and Use Cases.
Nexthink has ranked the highest for each of the five use cases in the study: IT Operations, IT Support, Experience Analysis, Employee Enablement and Adoption, and Employee Personas.
This is significant for us. While we believe customers will of course be influenced by a vendor’s placement on a Magic Quadrant, but it may seem a little abstract to them. They need to know that a vendor is the right fit for them, and them alone. Can a vendor meet a customer’s specific needs, accompany them on their specific DEX journey, and deliver the type of value specific to them on every step of that journey?
Gartner’s Critical Capabilities report gives customers the power to answer these questions. They can tune the research to their needs and evaluate vendors accordingly. Instead of an abstract evaluation, we feel the report offers a real-life, pragmatic and relevant assessment. And no matter how customers tune the research, they will find that Nexthink emerges as the top ranked vendor each time.
We believe that it is rare for a single vendor to come out on top in both the Magic Quadrant and the associated Critical Capabilities report, and that it is extremely rare for a vendor to completely dominate the market evaluation – to score highest across both Magic Quadrant axes, and to score highest in all five Critical Capability use cases.
Hence the very un-Nexthink headline. We make no apologies for that.
We will be exploring each of the Critical Capability Use Cases in more detail in the coming weeks, and drilling down into why we think Nexthink ranks the highest in each one. You can find the first of these, looking at Experience Analysis, here.
