Today, we announce a revolutionary new product that will put an end to recurring, complex IT issues and deliver continuous engineering with full scale, start-to-finish automation for EUC teams.
Meet Nexthink Flow.
I personally believe that Nexthink Flow signifies the next step in end user computing. Now, a solution for EUC teams goes beyond task automation, and takes the pain and stalled productivity away from lengthy PowerShell coding. The low code visual designer and powerful orchestration engine releases the shackles from EUC teams so they can stop spending most of their time fixing and maintaining device health and shift left to continuously and automatically deliver IT and employee productivity once and for all.
So how did we get here? Well, it started with the breakdowns of task automation today.
Today’s Automation Only Takes Us So Far
When Nexthink started this journey nine years ago, EUC teams were staffed to resolve recurring issues, but the increase in evergreen IT, cloud services, hybrid working, and new security threats mean these overworked teams have to do more with less.
Today, automation helps solve issues by executing tasks or processes, but it requires too much human intervention and decision making – taking up too much EUC agent time. Without a PowerShell script, IT needs to identify a problem, perform remediation, check that it worked, and, if not, try something else manually. Stringing these automations together requires an expert PowerShell coder, which costs even more time and money.
Recognizing this strain on EUC teams, we imagined a new way of working – one where automation accelerates EUC innovation and doesn’t block it. We heavily invested in R&D with the goal of leveraging true automation and AI to outsource manual, redundant work, freeing up room for true innovation.
Unlock the Power of Orchestration
While automation can streamline operations and improve efficiency, it’s clear our customers need to address complex issues without relying on a human to monitor progress, handle exceptions, and ensure that all tasks are completed in the right sequence and with the right dependencies. EUC teams need to go beyond automation to full scale orchestration.
“We continuously deliver proactive, automated IT remediation, but task automations still require manual intervention and decision making, which can cause delay,” said Robert Young, Service Architect for Client Delivery at a global software company. “With Nexthink Flow, we can use the powerful orchestration engine to scale our team's impact and drive employee productivity.”
Our own research shows that IT spends close to half its time each week fixing recurring problems and nearly the same amount putting devices back into a desired state. With Nexthink Flow’s orchestration engine, our customers can easily identify and remediate recurring issues automatically using unlimited triggers, powerful remote actions, campaigns and integrations all in one workflow.
Our customer, Brandon Woods, IT Specialist at Keysight Technologies, explains the power of Flow orchestration best,
"Nexthink Flow enables us to link multiple remote actions together with smart decisions and user interactions easily. You don’t have to automate as much on the backend. It simplifies configuration for complex automation. It enables us to easily design and manage complex solutions. It’s the biggest thing that has helped with us driving even more value from Nexthink.”
The built-in logic, pausing and in-workflow variables enable advancements like continuing after reboot, acting on employee engagement campaign responses, and making calls to external APIs and managing the responses. Now each and every step in your processes can now be orchestrated seamlessly in a workflow.
Drag and Drop Low Code Visual Designer
In our technical preview program, customers built workflows from scratch with no instruction or guidance. It’s that easy. The time saved with the low code visual designer and orchestration engine has shown an average of 3,796 hours saved per workflow a year. And with a tool that can be used more broadly across EUC teams, we expect that time savings to increase exponentially as customers implement more and more.
Flexibility to Meet All Your Use Cases
Building a workflow is easy. Editing an existing workflow is even easier. After evaluating customer usage to determine top recurring issues, most complex IT issues, and most deployed fixes, we’ve started building out a library of content that each customer can download and implement to jumpstart their success.
- Configuration Manager (SCCM) client continuity
- Intune continuity
- MS Teams compliance
- OneDrive compliance
- Windows update restart
- Device restart enforcement
- License reclamation
- Desktop application uninstallation
With Flow, Nexthink delivers continuous orchestration from diagnosis to resolution and every use case in between. These library packs are just the beginning.
Integrate with Anything
Integrate with anything has been Nexthink’s promise, and we continue that mission with Flow.
We know that automation tools are strategic to business success and Flow seamlessly taps into the larger IT ecosystem with a two-way flow of data and action.
For example, our simple drag and drop integration Thinklets can be added into any workflow to create, reopen, escalate or resolve a ticket in ServiceNow, reclaim a license through Azure AD or deploy software through Intune. Each seamless integration further extends the power of Nexthink.
Deliver a Holistic Digital Employee Experience
The launch of Flow is a pivotal moment for Nexthink, and we would not be here without the customers and partners who saw our vision to achieve holistic digital employee experience with an EUC orchestration engine.
During the technical preview program, they shared ideas, gave input, tested, documented, identified a bug or two, and documented their successes paving the way for future customers and partners to leverage the power of Flow improve IT service delivery and digital employee experience once and for all. Their effort combined with our dedicated Nexthinkers is why I am so proud to announce Flow today.
